Methodology
Each calculator on Ploxi Earth, written out: the standard it follows, every formula in plain words, the factors it multiplies by (with their official sources) and the assumptions we make where the standard leaves a choice. Our sustainability team reviews each formula; until a reviewer confirms the current version, it is marked “Under review”.

GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and Scope 2 Guidance (location- and market-based)
Activity data × emission factor, line by line, summed per scope. Factors come from the country's current rows in the GHG factor table; each saved run stores a snapshot of the factors it used.
Regulation (EU) 2023/956; IR (EU) 2025/2620 (free-allocation adjustment) and 2025/2621 (default values)
Yearly CBAM cost for India-origin exports, 2026 to 2034, on EU default values or on the exporter's verified intensity, net of the benchmark share still allocated free.
India: Plastic Waste Management Rules (EPR guidelines 2022), E-Waste Rules 2022, Battery Waste Management Rules 2022, Hazardous & Other Wastes Rules (tyre, used oil), Non-ferrous metal EPR 2025
For each category the user fills, quantity placed on the market × that category's target for the chosen financial year; certificates held for each category are subtracted from that category only.
Ministry of Power RPO / Renewable Consumption Obligation trajectory (notification of 20 Oct 2023)
Electricity consumed × the year's total RPO percentage, less green power and RECs already used.
India EIA Notification 2006 as amended (incl. S.O. 1886(E), 20 Apr 2022, and the 2021 buildings memorandum)
A rule table, not a calculation: the sector and its size are compared with cut-offs to give Category A, B1, B2 or likely exempt.
BRSR (SEBI LODR), CSRD (Omnibus I, 2026), UK SECR and ESOS, California SB 253 / SB 261, UAE climate law and ADGM rules, CBAM, EPR, RPO, ISSB
Yes / maybe / no per rule, from the company's regions, headcount, turnover, listing and activities.
Screening-level, inspired by ISO 14040/44 life stages; not an ISO study
Five life stages, each an activity × the GHG factor table for the chosen country, then divided by units produced.
GRIHA (India national green building rating)
A readiness self-check: 17 yes / partial / no questions in 6 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
IGBC Green Building rating systems
A readiness self-check: 18 yes / partial / no questions in 6 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
LEED v4.1 (USGBC)
A readiness self-check: 21 yes / partial / no questions in 7 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
SEBI BRSR and BRSR Core
A readiness self-check: 18 yes / partial / no questions in 3 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
GRI Standards

ISSB IFRS S1 and S2
A readiness self-check: 18 yes / partial / no questions in 4 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
ISO 14001 / 50001 / 14064 (management-system structure)
A readiness self-check: 16 yes / partial / no questions in 4 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
SASB Standards (now under ISSB)
A readiness self-check: 13 yes / partial / no questions in 4 sections. It is not the official scoring scheme; it shows how much of the groundwork is in place.
The scores, savings and benchmarks organisations see on their Ploxi dashboard.
Ploxi's own scoring (not a SEBI metric)
A 0–100 score built from what the company has set up on the platform.
Ploxi basis; factors from the GHG table, prices from Calculator factors → Economics
Converts the GHG factor rows into the units the corporate screens use, and resolves each country's prices, falling back to India's (converted at official rates) where a country has none.
Ploxi planning model; open access per Green Energy Open Access Rules 2022; Scope 2 per GHG Protocol market-based
Splits a site's target renewable share into rooftop solar, open access and I-RECs, with Scope 2 before and after, costs and payback.
Ploxi planning model; wet-processing bands are ZDHC-style good practice
Water intensity against a good-practice band, then a ranked list of saving opportunities with capex, savings and payback.
Ploxi planning model
From the group's metered site data, each lever's tonnes cut, capex and year-1 net cash, plus a 10-year NPV of the bundle.
BRSR convention: Scope 1 + 2 intensity per ₹ crore of turnover
The company's Scope 1 + 2 per ₹ crore against listed peers (published disclosures) and anonymised Ploxi peers in the same industry.
GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance (market-based; same-market and vintage quality criteria)
For each reporting year, the MWh redeemed are set against that year's inventory grid electricity to give the market-based Scope 2.
India Carbon Credit Trading Scheme 2023 (as amended 2024); GHG Emission Intensity Target Rules 2025
For each obligated entity and compliance year: credits to surrender or credits issued, uncovered tonnes and the penalty if a CCC price is assumed.
GHG Protocol Scope 3 categories
Shows where value-chain emissions sit. Uses the company's own assessment lines when it has Scope 3 lines; otherwise falls back to a fixed textile split.
