EPR obligation (plastic, e-waste, battery, tyre, used oil, non-ferrous)

For each category the user fills, quantity placed on the market × that category's target for the chosen financial year; certificates held for each category are subtracted from that category only.

Standard
India: Plastic Waste Management Rules (EPR guidelines 2022), E-Waste Rules 2022, Battery Waste Management Rules 2022, Hazardous & Other Wastes Rules (tyre, used oil), Non-ferrous metal EPR 2025

Obligation per category

Under review
obligation = quantity × target(FY)

The target is the latest row of that category's ramp whose start date is on or before 1 April of the chosen year.

  • quantity
    Tonnes placed on the market (or imported / prior-year sales, as the category says) · t
    Your data
  • target(FY)
    Target ramp per category · fractionValue depends on the activity, sector or product chosen; each comes from the factor table with its source.

Net gap

Under review
short_c = max(obligation_c − certificates_c, 0);  gap = Σ short_c   (a surplus in one category never covers another)

Each category is checked on its own. The headline is the total shortfall across categories; any surplus is shown but does not offset a different category.

  • certificates_c
    EPR / recycling certificates held for that category · t
    Your data

Assumptions

  • Used-oil producer targets are shown gross, before the operational-loss reduction, so they are never understated.
  • Importer categories carry 100% on the quantity imported in the preceding year.

How to read this page. “Your data” is what you enter or what your organisation has recorded. “Factor table” values come from official publications, each with its source; a “pending review” mark means the figure is still being checked against that source. “Ploxi assumption” is a figure we chose where the standard leaves the choice open.
